By using our Websites or engage in our storage services at our physical locations, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your information by Price Self Storage in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy incorporates herein the Terms and Conditions of this Website; both statements should be read in conjunction with each other.

This Privacy Policy is intended solely and exclusively for residents of the United States. Accordingly, this Privacy Policy is directed only towards residents and users within the United States, and not intended for users outside of the United States. By using and visiting the Websites, you represent that you are not a European Union resident. If you are located outside of the United States, including in the European Union, and you use the Websites you are doing so in violation of our Terms and Conditions. By providing Personally Identifiable Information, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer and processing of such information in the United States.

This Privacy Policy is not intended to govern any information, including personal information, that you may be storing in our storage units. Any information along with all other physical items that may be located within storage units will be governed by the terms of the Price Self Storage Self-Storage Agreement.

Please review this Privacy Policy periodically. You should read this entire Policy before submitting information, including personal information, to us in any form or using our Websites. Whenever you submit personal information to us, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, transfer, and storage of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

All personal information may be used for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. We may make full use of all information that is de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise not in personally identifiable form. We may also make full use of all user-generated content you submit to us, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

What Does This Privacy Policy Apply To?


This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices for personal information that we collect and use:

• when you interact and engage with us through the Websites;

• when you use, purchase, obtain or consider our self-storage services (“Services”), or engage with us or go to our physical storage locations;

• when you communicate with us in any way including by calling or emailing our customer service department, participating in an online chat, connecting with us on social media, post to our social media pages and tagging us in your social media posts (collectively, “Communications”);

• from our happy clients who may provide your personal information through our Referral Program; and

• when you respond to our advertisements or participate in surveys or participate in our contests or promotions (the “Participation Opportunities”).

What information is being collected?

1. Personally Identifiable Information: This category includes information that would allow us to identify you personally. This includes contact information, such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, driver’s license information, and phone numbers, as well as billing information, such as credit card numbers. For instance, if a customer desires to make an online payment, we require the customer to provide a credit card number. We also record your phone conversations for quality assurance and customer service purposes, and we collect any PII disclosed in those conversations. Your video image may also be collected for our security feed purposes, along with other PII you provide in person, when you go to our physical locations.

2. Other Information including Internet Activity: Our Websites may track the total number of visitors to the Websites, the number of visitors to a particular page of the Websites, how our Websites visitors engage in with our Websites including what they click and where they are engaging with us, and/or other such technical information, including, internet protocol (IP) address, user settings, MAC address, cookie identifiers, mobile carrier, mobile advertising and other unique identifiers, browser or device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and internet service provider. This data may be used to diagnose problems with the Websites, gather demographic, geographic and other information to improve our services or marketing efforts, improve our services and product, and for similar purposes. We may also make Personally Identifiable Information anonymous or aggregate such anonymous data.

How Do We Collect Information?

1. Voluntarily Provided Information: Price Self Storage may collect information, which may include Personally Identifiable Information, that is provided to us voluntarily by you or by a satisfied customer (if through the Referral Program), or when you engage with us and utilize our services in person, online, or telephonically. This information may be collected in coordination with a voluntary survey, with our customer service agents in person or on the phone, with information or service request, promotional contest, a reservation, the execution of a self storage agreement, at our physical locations, or by similar voluntary methods.

2. Passive Information Collection: Price Self Storage may also collect information, which may include Personally Identifiable Information, automatically when you visit our Websites or through our security feeds at our physical locations. This information may include website "traffic" data or IP addresses (an IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer in order to use the Internet), or images and video feeds through our security cameras at our physical locations. Information may be collected using technologies such as standard server logs, cookies, pixels, and clear GIFs or Web beacons. a) Analytics Companies: We partner with certain third parties (such as Google Analytics) to collect information about the use of our website and the use of other websites, apps, and online resources. These third parties may use server logs, web beacons, tags, pixels, and similar technologies, and they may set and access cookies on your browser. These third parties may provide us your Personally Identifiable Information, as well as aggregated information and anonymized information. We use the information collected by these third parties to engage in analytics, auditing, research, and reporting. b) Session replay and Mouse Clicks: Our Websites use session replay and mouse click tools including Hotjar. These analytic tools provide session replay, heatmaps, funnels, form analytics, feedback campaigns, and similar features/functionality. These tools may record your clicks, mouse movements, scrolling, form fills (keystrokes) in non-excluded fields, pages visited and content, time on site, browser, operating system, device type (desktop/tablet/phone), screen resolution, visitor type (first time/returning), referrer, anonymized IP address, location (city/country), language, and similar meta data. They do not collect any information on pages where it is not installed, nor do they track or collect information outside your web browser.

3. Social Media: If you interact with us on social media networks - such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or Pinterest - we may collect or receive Personally Identifiable Information about you such as your name and profile photo. For example, we may collect this information when you tag us, like our posts or comments, comment on or reply to our posts and comments, or incorporate our name into a hash tag. We will treat the information we collect or receive in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We are not, however, responsible for the collection, use or disclosure of your information by such third-party social media networks. Their collection, use, and disclosure of information is governed by their own information collection and privacy policies, and we recommend you review those respective privacy policies.

4. From Third Parties: We may collect information, which may include Personally Identifiable Information, from third parties and vendors, as well as from publicly available sources, and add it to the other information collected.

a) Third Party Reservation Sites: When you use a third-party reservation site to reserve one of our storage units, that third-party may collect your Personally Identifiable Information and subsequently provide some of your Personally Identifiable Information to us to confirm your reservation. We will treat the information we receive in accordance with this Privacy Policy. To the extent Personally Identifiable Information is separately collected by those third-party reservation sites, we have no control over, and are not responsible for, the information collected by the third-party reservation company. How Do We Use Personally Identifiable Information?

Information collected by this Website is used for the following purposes:

• To provide you with the Services or products you request;

• To confirm your identity

• To address customer inquiries or issues;

How Long Do We Retain Information?

We retain relevant Personally Identifiable Information related to your account and/or your business relationship with us pursuant to applicable federal and state rules and regulations and so long as retaining said Personally Identifiable Information is necessary including, but not limited to, the duration of your lease, the duration of time when you are a tenant, the duration for which any amounts owed to us are due by you, and a reasonable period after termination of any business relationship.

To What Extent Do We Disclose Your Information to Third Parties?

Price Self Storage may disclose your information in the following situations:

1. Service Providers: We may disclose your information, including Personally Identifiable Information, with service providers or their affiliates to assist in our business operations (e.g., to process payments, store data, deliver information, market our services, and perform other similar functions), or to provide the services you have requested.

2. Business Transfers: We may share your information, including Personally Identifiable Information, as part, of or in connection with, a merger, acquisition, assignment, as part of debt financing, the sale of company assets, or in any similar transaction, or to the extent as may be required in the unlikely event of insolvency bankruptcy, or a receivership.

3. Legal Obligations. We may disclose your information to third parties: (i) where we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or other legal obligation; (ii) when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect or prevent harm, illegal activity, or financial loss, (iii) to detect, investigate and help prevent fraud or technical issues; and (iv) to cooperate with law enforcement, government, quasi-governmental and public agency requests or reporting requirements

4. Protection of Price Self Storage. We, our agents, and independent contractors, may disclose your information, including Personally Identifiable Information, where we believe it may limit our liability in an actual or potential lawsuit, or where otherwise necessary to protect our rights, interests and/or property (including, without limitation, to enforce our agreements), or the rights, interests and/or property of our agents, independent contractors, customers, and others. For example, if there is an unpaid balance on your account, we will provide your Personally Identifiable Information to a collection agency and the unpaid balance may be reported to a credit agency.

5. To Other Third Parties including Social Media and Targeted Advertisers. We disclose Personal Information to third parties we work with who help us gather information from you and communicate with you including entities that provide sweepstakes/contests sponsorship, social media companies, companies providing data analytics, targeted advertising, or online behavioral marketing services.

How is Personally Identifiable Information Secured?

We employ safeguards to help preserve our users’ security and privacy and to help prevent the misuse of any Personally Identifiable Information. These safeguards are consistent with industry standards. In addition to other procedural safeguards, we use security software (SSL, or Secure Sockets Layer, technology) and firewalls to protect your information.

What Third Party Technologies May Be Encountered on the Websites?

Third Party Websites

Our Websites may contain images of and links to third-party websites ("Linked Sites"). The Linked Sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for examining or evaluating any Linked Sites. We also do not warrant the offerings of any of these businesses or individuals or the content of the Linked Sites. We do not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products, and content of all these Linked Sites or any other third parties. We are providing these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by us of any Linked Sites or any association with its operators, or with any of its products or services. Third Party Applications

Third-party applications, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Google buttons, may be available on our Websites. The owners or providers of those third-party applications may collect Personally Identifiable Information from you when you click through to their platform or website from our Websites. We are not responsible for the collection, use or disclosure of your information by such third parties. Their collection, use, and disclosure of information is governed by their own information collection and privacy policies.

Digital Advertising

We partner with third parties to provide advertising services that are targeted based on your online activities across websites, mobile apps, and devices over time (commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “online behavioral advertising”). Our advertising partners may collect information about your activities on our Websites and combine it with information about your activities on other websites, mobile apps, and devices. Promotional/Marketing Communications: You may opt out of receiving future promotional communications from us by emailing us at marketing@priceselfstorage.com or by following the instructions within a promotional communication you received from us including clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our marketing emails. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. If you opt out of receiving marketing emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages - such as communications regarding billing, payments, lien notices or auction notices concerning your storage unit - from which you cannot opt out.

Cookies: You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies. Children's Privacy; COPPA Compliance

We do not intentionally collect, nor do we have any knowledge of data previously collected from children under the age of 16. The Websites are not directed to children under 16 and children under 16 should not use the Websites. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected any such data, we will delete it as soon as possible. We do not allow third parties to use your personal information for direct marketing of their products or services. Nevertheless, if you are a resident of California, California Civil Code Section 1798. 83 permits you to request, once per year, information regarding our disclosure of certain of your Personally Identifiable Information to a third-party for that third- party’s direct marketing purposes. Notice to California Residents - Your California Privacy Rights

This section of the Privacy Policy applies solely to visitors, users, and others who are residents of the State of California (“California Consumers”). Business-to-Business (“B2B”) Information

If you are a contact person for any of our business partners, vendors, distributors, suppliers, service providers, contractors, or other entities with which we have a business relationship or potential business relationship, we collect the contact information you provide to us, including name, phone number, address, email address and other contact and relationship information consistent with your role in facilitating that business relationship. We use that information for internal purposes, including to contact you, send and receive information, and otherwise facilitate the business relationship. We do not disclose that information outside our business relationship without your consent. Please see Annex 1 for more details.

Information Sold or Used for Targeted Advertising

As explained in Annex 1 of this Policy, we and our third-party partners such as social networking sites and advertising companies, share your data in order to serve you with ads tailored to your preferences across various platforms. This type of sharing may be considered a sale or sharing of information for targeted advertising purposes under certain state laws. You can control the information shared about you and request an opt-out.

Right to Know About Personal Information Collected, Disclosed, or Sold or Shared

California Consumers have the right to request that we disclose to that consumer or a person or business designated by the consumer as his or her authorized agent (as explained below):

(1)The categories of Personal Information we collected about that consumer;

(2)The categories of sources from which the Personal Information was collected;

(3)The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling Personal Information;

(4)The categories of third parties with whom we share Personal Information;

(5)The specific pieces of personal information we collected about that consumer.

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information

California Consumers have the right to request that we delete any Personal Information that we have collected or that we maintain (and direct our service providers to do the same). Please note that there are a number of exemptions to the requirement that your personal information be deleted. For example, we cannot delete your personal information if you are a current tenant, have not properly and completely vacated your unit and removed all personal items, owe a balance on your account, or are subject to any legal or collection activity.

Right to Request Correction of Personal Information

California Consumers have the right to request that we correct any Personal Information about the consumer that we have collected or that we maintain (and direct our service providers to do the same) that is either inaccurate or incomplete.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information and the Right to Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information or Sharing Personal Information for Cross Contextual Advertising

We do not “sell” Personal Information as the term “sell” is commonly understood; however, we may share information with third-party analytics and advertising partners for purposes of promoting our Services, such as for cross-contextual behavioral advertising. The categories of personal information we may have “sold” and/or “shared” with Digital Advertising Companies and Data Analytics Companies are:

• Identifiers (for example online identifiers such as IP address);

• Commercial Information (for example whether you transacted with us); and,

Sensitive Information

Consumers have the right to limit the use and disclosure of certain sensitive personal information (as defined in the CCPA). We currently do not process sensitive personal information for any purposes other than those specified in Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121, Regulations § 7027(m). .

Authorizing an Agent to Exercise Your Rights

Consumers have the right to designate an authorized agent to exercise the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA. To designate an authorized agent, you must either provide the agent with an executed power of attorney or provide the authorized agent with written permission, signed by you, to exercise your CCPA rights. The agent must also be registered with the California Secretary of State.

If you are an authorized agent acting on behalf of a consumer, then please state so in your request and provide both the information listed above concerning the consumer and your full name, address, telephone number and email address. if you are a parent or legal guardian making the request on behalf of your minor child, please also state so in your request.

To make Requests to Know, Correct, or Delete, please submit a verifiable consumer request pursuant to the instructions below. We will acknowledge your Request to Delete within 10 days and will attempt to respond substantively within 45-90 days.

The Request must provide sufficient information to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom the personal information was collected, sold, shared, or disclosed and must contain sufficient detail to allow us to properly understand, evaluate and respond to your request. If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to respond to your request. Additionally, as permitted by law, if the information requested to be deleted is necessary for us to maintain, we will not be able to comply with your request. We will notify you if this is the case.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Authorized agents may make requests under the TDPSA and NDPA on behalf of consumers by emailing customerservice@priceselfstorage.com. We will require authorized agents to provide proof of the consumer’s consent to and designation of the authorized agent for purpose of making the request, and will require authorized agents to provide information necessary to verify the identity of the consumer who is the subject of the request. We may also require that a consumer verify his or her own identity directly with us before we respond to an authorized agent’s request.

Right to Appeal

You have the right to appeal our decision to deny any of your privacy rights requests above. Within 60 days of receipt of your appeal, we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions.
